we’re two sisters. which means we have the same mom.
which also means every year, we both end up standing somewhere reading mother’s day cards thinking… none of these feel right.
they’re either too much, too serious or just not something we would ever actually say to her.
so we made our own.
this is our mother’s day collection.
it’s not overly sentimental.
it’s not trying too hard.
and it doesn’t sound like a speech.
it sounds like us.
we come at this holiday from two very real perspectives.
abby is a mom. the kind who is doing a lot, all the time, and somehow still making it work.
claire is a dog mom. the kind who will absolutely say “this counts” and mean it.
and then there’s our mom: the one who made everything work before either of us really understood what that meant. the kind who figured things out without making it a whole thing. the kind you text random questions to and fully expect an immediate answer. the kind you’d pick again in every lifetime.
so when we were designing these, that’s who we had in mind. what would we actually send her? not what we should say. what we would say.
and because this is cardigan, we didn’t stop there.
we made cards for the dog moms, who will absolutely be expecting recognition (correct).

pick the one that made you laugh.
or the one that sounds like something you’d text her.
and to all the moms, mom figures, and women who somehow keep everything moving, we see you. you make things work, you make things better and honestly, you make everything go around.
